My career started in Big Four tax consulting, followed by over 20 years in SaaS technology as a QA, Business Analyst, Product Manager, and Project Manager. I've also worked in private equity before moving into real estate investing and entrepreneurship.

Today, I'm the founder of SAMO Financial LLC, a TEDx speaker, author of Your Legacy on Main Street, and writer of The Long Arithmetic, a weekly newsletter about money, investing, and making better financial decisions.

I run Berkeley Supper Club, a 501(c)(7) nonprofit social club in Berkeley. We’re three years and twenty-five dinners in, with 279 members, and we cook a seasonal, family-style dinner for about sixty members each month at Urban Adamah’s farm kitchen.

The cooking is diaspora-rooted and ambitious, and communal dining is the point: round tables, multigenerational, Jewish-led and open to everyone.

Our dinners are for members only. Membership is free and takes about thirty seconds, and it’s what lets us operate as a member-supported club rather than a restaurant.

These days, I'm working on something close to my heart: Hawazai, a startup focused on empowering service workers through customer appreciation. It's quite a departure from my earlier ventures in enterprise technology, and I'm enjoying the journey.

I'm building my personal Tikkun Olam with CultureRoot - a documentary studio that seeks to mitigate the growing loneliness epidemic, the crisis of community, the rise of GenAI content in the non-fiction space, and the doom+gloom around AI taking jobs. We're doing this by showcasing stories about people who found purpose in passion and built community along the way. We're focused on creating episodic series about some of the global subcultures I find fascinating like regenerative agriculture, street art + graffiti, and remote work + lifestyle design. The idea is to open windows into often overlooked communities with our content, and then over time, turn those windows into doors through in-person events, education, and pathways to real roles within these communities.

My Co-Founder / Head of Production is another MOT that worked as a producer for all 3 of Anthony Bourdain's series' for over 10 years.

We're just getting going, but we raised first capital the month after we incorporated and promptly flew to LatAm where we shot 13 episodes in 30 days. Those episodes are now in post-production, but we are launching our YouTube channel with our first episodes in the coming days. We are pre-revenue, but have a comprehensive strategy to make this a viable business in the months ahead.

Due to an unforeseen trademark issue, I need to change the name of my concierge fine jewelry brand, Modern Heir Fine Jewelry.

As someone who spent 20+ years in marketing and brand strategy before becoming a jewelry designer, you’d think naming my own business would come easily. Turns out, it’s much harder when it’s yours! Finding something I love that isn’t already in use has been a challenge.

A little context to help get the ideas flowing:

What I do: I design one-of-a-kind fine jewelry and transform inherited or unworn pieces into something my clients will love wearing. I also create custom engagement rings and wedding bands, source gemstones and help clients thoughtfully curate their jewelry collections.

It’s a personal, collaborative concierge experience. I work directly with clients from the first conversation through the finished piece, locally in Phoenix/Scottsdale and remotely nationwide. I don't have a storefront and I don't carry ready-made merchandise; everything I do is custom, bespoke and made to order.

That being said, I do plan on releasing a DTC fine jewelry collection in the near future.

Who I serve: Many of my clients are women in midlife and beyond who appreciate quality, individuality and meaningful design. They might have jewelry from a mother or grandmother that holds tremendous sentimental value but doesn’t suit their style. Others want to celebrate a milestone, mark a new chapter or create something just for themselves. I also work with couples creating engagement rings and wedding bands.

What’s at the heart of the business: Stories, identity, connection and legacy. Honoring what we carry forward while creating something that reflects who we are today.

The feeling I’m looking for: Modern, distinctive, warm and elevated. My designs are bold, sculptural and architectural, featuring bold 14kt gold designs and colorful gemstones. The name should feel at home in that world while leaving room for the emotional meaning behind the work.

I don’t want to use my own name. I’m open to an unexpected word, a meaningful combination or something inspired by another language, provided it’s easy to say and remember. It doesn’t need to literally reference jewelry or heirlooms.

If a name, word or creative direction comes to mind, I’d love to hear it! No need to check availability before sharing—I’ll handle that research and legal vetting.

Iron Lion Soap started in 2008 as a "how hard can it be" project. It turned into a real business with 50k+ web orders, customers in all 50 states, and a 41% repeat rate.

I'm proudest of the repeat rate, because people keep buying something they literally wash down the drain. Everything is cold-process and hand-cut. I still pack orders in the den three days a week. Founder life.

I run biz dev there.

We work as a fractional CMO/COO for small businesses and build them AI that actually does a job. Right now we run a bid-hunting agent for a commercial construction company that reads dozens of school-district boards so the owner doesn't have to.

We also run the marketing engine for a speech-therapy product brand. We don't build something and disappear. We sit in the room, run the weekly reps, then hand over the keys.

Off the clock I'm a husband to Ili and a girl dad twice over (6 years old and a baby). My job at home is mostly snack logistics and getting outvoted.

Raising daughters made me a better operator. Turns out a 6 year old negotiates harder than any wholesale buyer I've dealt with.

I am excited to tell you about the launch of my new nonprofit organization, ZEV: A Jewish Communications Collective.

ZEV’s mission is to strengthen Jewish organizations and combat antisemitism through communications, education, leadership development, and community engagement.

ZEV will provide free and low cost communications assistance to small Jewish nonprofits that show promise in the advocacy and empowerment space. We understand that new and promising efforts are popping up to offer a fresh approach to Jewish advocacy, challenging the old fashioned ways which simply are not meeting the moment. Many of these organizations lack the budget for professional communications services and guidance — and we hope to help meet that need.

We will also produce an independent media and storytelling platform hosted on Substack (evolving from what some of you may have known as Freshly Baked Hell), providing fact-based, empowering information about antisemitism, the changing political and social media landscape, and the challenges facing Jewish communities in America and around the world.

I will still be running Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations in service to large nonprofits and mission based for profits, and have no plans to slow down! But this new non-profit organization will allow me to better meet this growing need as well as continue my research, writing, and advocacy work.
